Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations has said US President Donald Trump will "absolutely not" be disappointed by Israel's response to the Hamas disarmament deal — but questions remain over whether the agreement will deliver the diplomatic breakthrough the president is seeking.
The deal, announced on Thursday, comes as the war in Iran appears to have restarted and efforts to broker a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia have stalled.
Far-right members of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition have publicly rejected the agreement, while Netanyahu himself has yet to comment.
