Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni has been in Islamabad on Tuesday for talks with Pakistan's prime minister and army chief, as diplomats try to revive the collapsed interim agreement between the United States and Iran.
The Islamabad Memorandum fell apart after Iran suspended its commitments, and fighting between the two countries has now raged for ten consecutive days — including a fresh Iranian attack on a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
The critical shipping lane has been closed again since hostilities resumed.
