TRUMP'S 250TH BIRTHDAY "GREAT AMERICAN STATE FAIR" ATTRACTS THIN CROWDS IN WASHINGTON

The Great American State Fair, an event in Washington designed by President Trump to kick off America's 250th birthday celebrations, has been hit by power cuts, low turnout and controversy.

An image of the southern Confederate flag, deemed to be racist by many Americans, appeared at one state's booth. Meanwhile, nine American states declined to participate in the event citing its cost and the president's efforts to politicise it.
