Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Tehran's missile programme will never be part of peace negotiations with the United States, saying it was not included in the memorandum of understanding and never will be — directly contradicting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's position that the memorandum covers all hostilities.
Rubio is in Abu Dhabi on the first leg of a three-nation Gulf tour, meeting leaders in the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain — all of which were directly hit by Iranian drones and missiles during the recent war.
Gulf leaders have expressed deep reservations about the deal agreed between Washington and Tehran.
