Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in the Pakistani capital Islamabad for a state visit — his first trip abroad since the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran in February.
The visit comes days after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between Washington and Tehran, which Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif co-signed as mediator.
Analysts say the trip is a signal of gratitude for Pakistan's role in brokering the deal.
