All 27 European Union leaders have unanimously adopted joint conclusions on Ukraine at the Brussels summit — the first time they have done so since March last year, when former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán refused to sign up.
The European Council has also signalled it expects the first payment from a ninety-billion-euro loan for Kyiv to be disbursed before the end of the month, and called for faster delivery of air defence systems, ammunition and drones.
New Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar attended his first summit, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy telling leaders there is a fresh opportunity to deepen ties.
