‘De-escalation’ Needed Says UK Prime Minister As Emergency Meeting Called


The UK Prime Minister has called for de-escalation as the global economic impacts of the Iran War increase. 


Keir Starmer is calling an emergency meeting of the government's crisis committee on Monday after holding a call with US President Donald Trump late on Sunday to discuss the need to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. 


Starmer has reiterated the need to defend British interests, without being dragged into the conflict.
