US President Donald Trump is welcoming the leaders of five Central
Asian countries to the White House, as he looks to strengthen
relations with the region and secure mineral deals.
The US is trying to counter the strong ties that Russia and China
enjoys with the five nations: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan
