Belgium has announced plans to join a host of nations that are set to
formally recognize Palestinian statehood at the upcoming United
Nations General Assembly.
But the move will only be formalized if Hamas releases all the
remaining hostages in Gaza and ceases to have any administrative role
in the Palestinian enclave.
