SYCAMORE GAP TREE ACCUSED IN COURT

Two men accused of cutting down an ancient tree in England have appeared in court charged with causing hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage.

The famous 'Sycamore Gap' tree, which used to stand near Hadrian's Wall, had been a well-loved national landmark for over a century.
