RUSSIA WARNS AGAINST PLANE CRASH 'HYPOTHESES'

Russia is warning against 'hypotheses' about the crash of a plane in Kazakhstan on Wednesday that was bound for Chechnya.

Sources close to the early investigation suggest it was brought-down by a Russian air defence system.

38 people died when the Azerbaijan Airlines jet fell to earth, after being diverted because of fog on Christmas Day.

Aviation commentator Terry Tozer says it's surprising that some passengers survived.
