U.S. Central Bank due to cut interest rates by either 0.25 or 0.5%

The Federal Reserve is expected to do something on Wednesday they haven't done in four years – cut interest rates - because inflation is coming back in line with their goals, and there has been a weakening US job market in recent months.

Officials are due to announce at 2 pm local time how much they are lowering the cost of borrowing by either 0.25 or 0.5 basis points.
