Talks are continuing in Cairo as key mediators Egypt and Qatar try to get Israel and Hamas to come to a deal which would see a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages before the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Senior officials say Israel has agreed to the framework of a deal that would see a six week pause in fighting and the release of some 40 captives, although sticking points remain.
