Some clinics in the US state of Alabama started resuming some in IVF services on Thursday, after services were paused.
The state's Supreme Court last month ruled that frozen embryos are "children" with a constitutional right to life.
Fertility clinics routinely discard unviable and leftover embryos - which could land them in legal trouble under the ruling.
