Russia's long-standing ruler Vladimir Putin has announced that he will run for the fifth Presidential term next year. State-funded polls indicate he's enjoying a wide public support, while state-run media is promoting a vision of Russia's inevitable victory in its geopolitical standoff with the West. The announcement comes as Russia's war with Ukraine casts a shadow over the possible outcome of the the next year's vote. Moscow said it plans to organise elections in the recently annexed Ukrainian territories that it claims its own, but still does not fully control. Daria Bondarchuk reports from the Russian capital.
