The White House has pushed back against claims it's asked Israel to
pause plans for a ground invasion of Gaza.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Washington is not
"dictating terms" to Israel.
He said the top US priority was "going after" Hamas, as well as
getting humanitarian aid to Palestinians caught up in the conflict.
Kirby was responding to reporters' questions at the White House
briefing about the timing of an Israeli ground incursion.
