Off-duty pilot arrested for trying to switch off plane's engines

An off-duty pilot has been charged with 83 counts of attempted murder
when he tried switching off the plane's engines onboard an Alaska
flight this weekend.
Joseph David Emerson was taken into custody over the weekend.
The Federal Aviation Administration, the FAA and local authorities are
investigating the incident.
