France concern for citizens in Niger as security situation worsens

France is closely monitoring the security situation in Niger following the overthrow of the president by the army.

Over the weekend there were protests outside the French embassy in the capital, Niamey, and President Emmanuel Macron says France will respond 'immediately and decisively' if any of its citizens are attacked.
