Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's party has reportedly put forward legislation that would force banks to choose between retail and investment services.
This move from the Brothers of Italy party follows recent upheaval in the banking sector, including the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and the acquisition of Credit Suisse by its rival UBS.
