President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to release old N200 notes into circulation to co-exist with new N200, N500 and N1,000 banknotes for 60 days.
The CBN introduced the newly redesigned naira notes last year in a bid to reduce money in circulation, inflation and encourage a cashless economy.
But since the notes were unveiled, Nigerians across different parts of the country have been struggling to access them from banks and ATM cash points.
Correspondent Ajeck Mangut reports from Abuja.
