Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party has now launched a protest
against the federal government’s alleged inaction against the Adani group.
Critics allege that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party is
shielding the Adani group companies from the investigation due to Mr. Modi’s
closeness with the group’s head Mr. Gautam Adani.
The Adani companies have lost billions of dollars in market
value after US short-seller Hindenburg Research accused the company of stock
manipulation and accounting fraud.
