SEPTEMBER UK HOUSING DATA HINTS AT 'STORM CLOUDS' OVER SECTOR

UK house sales hit their lowest levels since the Covid 19 pandemic in September, sparking fresh predictions of a market slowdown. Rising interest rates appear to be leading to a fall in inquiries from buyers - as the Bank of England predicts the number of households struggling to meet mortgage repayments could hit 800,000 by the end of next year.
