A spate of shootings over the weekend in several US cities has strengthened calls for stricter gun control, as lawmakers insist they're "more confident than ever" that a deal can be reached.
Gunfire in Philadelphia, Tennessee, Phoenix and Saginaw, Michigan left at least 10 people dead, as the United States reels from a series of mass shootings in recent weeks Tulsa and Buffalo, and the worst school shooting in a decade in Uvalde, Texas.
