UK OPPOSITION LEADER PLEDGES TO STEP DOWN IF FOUND TO HAVE BREACHED COVID RULES

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he will resign from his position if he is found to have broken Covid lockdown rules and is issued with a fixed penalty notice by police. An investigation is under way over claims the politician breached guidelines while on a visit to the North East of England in April last year. Mr Starmer is adamant he did nothing wrong and says those who make the laws must follow them.
