Rapid antigen tests could be distributed free of charge, as the state of New South Wales grapples with a big jump in covid cases.
Mask wearing inside will be made mandatory in the state from midnight after positive daily cases increased to 5,715, an increase of nearly 2000 from yesterdays figure.
