An Austrian Airlines flight was cancelled on Thursday after Russian aviation authorities rejected the proposed flight plan, which avoided Belarusian airspace.
The flight from Vienna to Moscow would normally fly over Belarus, but the European Union Aviation Safety Authority is advising EU carriers from doing so, after a plane was forced to land by Belarus last week.
