The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) says more than 270 children have been separated from their parents in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo due to ongoing conflict.
Tribal clashes have increased in the region since the start of the year. The UN agency is calling on the international community to step up its support for the displaced children.
