French government rules out full lockdown but extends Covid-19 containment measures

The French prime minister says that the nationwide curfew currently in place from 8pm-6am will last until at least the 20th January.

The government held a news conference to lay out its vaccination strategy and explain its extension of certain shutdown measures, such as keeping bars and restaurants closed until at least the middle of next month.
