New stats show levelling off of Covid-19 cases in England

Just 0.05% of people in England had coronavirus between 19th-25th August, according to the Office for National Statistics, part of the UK Statistics Authority. 


The ONS estimates cases there were around 2000 new Covid-19 cases per day in the community in England over that same period, a levelling off after a small increase in July.
