CHRISTCHURCH KILLER SENTENCED TO LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE

Brenton Tarrant, who killed 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

He's the first person in New Zealand's history to receive such a sentence.

The 29 year-old had admitted murdering 51 people, attempting to murder 40 more, and a charge of terrorism.

He had livestreamed the attacks last March, and the judge described his actions as 'inhuman.'

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says she's relieved.
