Pompeo says Iran could become global threat without UN arms embargo

The U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has warned the UN Security
Council against lifting it's Iranian arms embargo.

The sanctions are due to expire in October as part of the terms of the
2015 nuclear agreement.

The U.S has put forward a draft resolution to extend the embargo indefinitely.

Mike Pompeo has told the Security Council that Iran could become a
global threat without it.
