Gains on Wall Street driven by the financial sector

The major U.S. indexes posted robust gains on Thursday fueled by a
strong day of trading for the financial sector.

Weaker than expected labor market data dampened sentiment in early
trading but a softening of the Volcker Rule gave Wall Street a boost.
