Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is appearing in court for the start of his extradition hearing. Mr Assange, who spent 7 years holed up in the UK's Ecuadorian Embassy, is wanted in the United States to face 18 charges relating to espionage and computer hacking.
The 48-year-old Australian made global headlines a decade ago when Wikileaks published classified videos and unredacted files from inside the American government, something which the US authorities claim put lives at risk.
But current Wikileaks editor Kristinn Hrafnsson spoke outside of Woolwich Crown Court in London on Monday and called the hearing "shameful."
IN: "Why aren't we discussing"
OUT: "in a court of law in this country"
