HUAWEI 5G NETWORK *WILL* BE DEVELOPED IN UK

The UK has decided to allow development of 5G infrastructure by Chinese telecoms giant Huawei, despite pressure against such a move from the US.

Washington has warned of repercussions to intelligence sharing if development goes ahead, and Beijing has threatened trade and investment repercussions if it does not.

The UK has decided on a compromise which allows Huawei to develop 5G infrastructure but keeps it away from the most sensitive parts of the mobile network.
