UK PM CALLS FOR SNAP GENERAL ELECTION

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he is moving forward with plans to hold an early general election.

It comes after his government was defeated in the House of Commons by lawmakers attempting to block a No Deal Brexit.

Mr Johnson would need two-thirds of MPs to approve an election for it to be confirmed.
