UK BREXIT VOTE POSTPONED

The UK government is postponing a crunch Tuesday vote on the Brexit deal it had reached with Brussels.

Prime Minister Theresa May was facing a heavy defeat in the House of Commons.

She says she'll now ask for further 'assurances' from Brussels on the issue of the Northern Ireland border backstop.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says Mrs May is not giving the sense a new breakthrough will be made imminently to allow a vote.
