BREXIT VOTE 'OFF'

The UK government is understood to be postponing a crunch Tuesday vote on the Brexit deal it had reached with Brussels.

Prime Minister Theresa May was facing a heavy defeat in the House of Commons.

She's been briefing cabinet ministers on calls she's had in recent days with EU leaders.

Mrs May may try and ask the EU for changes to the agreed deal, and will brief the House of Commons later on her next steps (1530G).

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says she was being advised by some cabinet ministers to avoid an embarrassing defeat.
