President George Bush Senior dies aged 94

George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st President of the United States has died peacefully at his home at the age of 94.

In a lengthy public career, he served as a member of the US House of Representatives, as US Ambassador to the United Nations, as Director of the CIA, as Vice President for 8 years under Ronald Reagan and then as President himself for one term, from 1989 until 1993.

He's credited with helping to end the Cold War, and force Saddam Hussein's forces to withdraw from Kuwait.
