"Single-Use" tops Collins Dictionary Word of the Year

Europe's fight against plastics waste has resulted in the word "single-use" becoming the Collins Dictionary word of the year for 2018.

It is now used four times more than it was back in 2013 - largely due to the European Union's recent campaigns to put an end to single-use plastics.
