US Democrats have won control of the House of Representatives in mid-term elections seen as a referendum on the presidency of Donald Trump.
President Trump's Republicans, however, are set to increase their majority in the US Senate.
A number of female candidates performed well - with the first Muslim and Native American women elected to Congress.
