UK BLAMES RUSSIVE OVER MAJOR CYBER ATTACKS

The UK says Russian military intelligence was behind four major international cyber-attacks.

London is singling out the GRU service as to blame for attacks on targets in Russia and Ukraine, on the US Democratic Party, a tv network in the UK, and on World Anti-Doping Agency computers.

The GRU is the same intelligence service the UK says two men worked for who they believe carried out a nerve agent attack in Salisbury in March.

The UK says it's determined to stop Russia undermining international security.

Former Army Commander General Sir Richard Barons is a security expert at the Royal United Services Institute.
