MAY: NO UK ELECTION

UK Prime Minister Theresa May says there shouldn't be a general election ahead of Britain's exit from the EU next year.

The opposition Labour Party is calling for an election if MPs reject any Brexit deal reached by Mrs May's government and Brussels.

And it's been reported the Prime Minister's Conservative Party has been making contingency plans for a snap poll.

A general election is not scheduled in the UK until 2022.

And Theresa May says her focus is on Brexit.
