UK CONSUMERS TO PAY CAN AND BOTTLE DEPOSIT

Customers will be able to get the deposit back if they take the single-use glass and plastic containers back.

The government's plans for England come after campaigns in the UK to highlight the threat of pollution, particularly to oceans as a result of plastics.

James Lowman from the Association of Convenience Stores, says it will be difficult for small shops.
