INTRO:
Zimbabwe's main opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has died in South Africa.
The 65-year-old former prime minister was being treated in hospital for colon cancer.
Tsvangirai led the opposition Movement for Democratic Change, and was imprisoned and injured numerous times during a long struggle against former president Robert Mugabe.
Professor Stephen Chan of the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies says Tsvangirai should be remembered as a brave, if flawed, politician.
