UN pass resolution on Syria

The United Nations Security Council has unanimously adopted a
resolution demanding that all parties in Syria adhere to a 30 day
ceasefire.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights estimate that over 500 people
have died in the district of Eastern Ghouta over the past seven days.

The UN's Secretary General Antonio Guterres describes the situation on
the ground in the region outside Damascus as hell on earth.

William Denselow reports from UN headquarters in New York.
