UK Supreme Court rules against police in 'black cab rapist' appeal

The Metropolitan Police of London has lost an appeal in Britain's Supreme Court against two victims of the so-called 'black cab rapist'.

The two women had won compensation after police failed to believe their reports of being raped by John Worboys, who's thought to have sexually assaulted more than 100 women in the back of his taxi.

The ruling could open the away for more human rights claims against the police.

Following the court's decision, one of the two victims said officers could have done more to prevent Worboys' attacks.
