The National Rifle Association says it doesn't support any ban on guns.
The comments come in the wake of a deadly mass shooting at a high
school in Florida that killed 17 people.
The suspect- 19-year-old Nicholas Cruz - is believed to have used a
semi automatic weapon.
The shooting has reignited calls for greater gun laws in the United States.
U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed that some teachers carry
firearms and that the legal age to buy certain weapons be lifted from
18 to 21.
Trump was endorsed by the NRA during the 2016 election but
spokesperson Dana Loesch said the group is against a ban.
Speaking on ABC News she says schools should have a say on gun policy.
