STORM ELEANOR BATTERS UK

Thousands of homes are without power after the latest winter storm of the season hit the UK.

Storm Eleanor has now moved out into the North Sea but leaves windy, and in places, dangerous conditions behind it.

Gusts of 100 miles an hour were recorded in some parts of Britain, and the storm has caused disruption to transport networks in Britain.

Charlotte Gay reports from Weston-Super-Mare on England's south west coast.

IN: "The wind…
OUT: …as well."
DUR: 42 seconds
