NZ PM IS PREGNANT

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's confirmed she's expecting a baby.

She says she plans to take a six week break after her child is born - it's expected in June.

Ms Adern will be the first elected leader to give birth while in office in almost 30 years - Pakistan's Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto had a daughter in 1990.

Jacinda Adern says her partner Clarke Gayford will be a 'stay at home dad' as she returns to work soon after giving birth.
