UK TO RETURN TO 'ICONIC' BLUE PASSPORT

The UK's announced it will return to what it says is an 'iconic' blue passport once the country leaves the EU.

Anyone renewing or applying for a new passport after October 2019 will receive a blue version - rather than the burgundy adopted after Britain joined the European Union.

The blue and gold design first came into use in the UK nearly 100 years ago.

But immigration minister Brandon Lewis says the change will bring other benefits.

IN: "It's not…
OUT: …country safe."
